Developed from observations of drinking-water habits in Italy, SODAFLOW explores how filtration, cooling and carbonation could be integrated into a single countertop appliance, making everyday water preparation more seamless.

In Italy, sparkling water is part of everyday life — from supermarket shelves and public dispensers to the dining table.

These observations prompted a closer look at how sparkling water is prepared at home.

From separate long steps to one appliance.

1. The control electronics are positioned close to the front interface.
2. Internal routing connects the carbonation mechanism through the housing.
3. Ventilated side panels support airflow around the cooling system.
4. The filter is accessed from the top for replacement and maintenance.

Form principles

- Simple form balancing sharp geometry and soft fillets
- Large water tank seamlessly integrated
- More dynamic than a water machine, more reliable than a coffee machine
- Hybrid physical and digital controls

Fit for kitchen environment

Iterative testing refined the form toward a compact, harmonized, and manufacturable solution, resolving early structural complexity and improving integration within the kitchen environment.

His design maintains harmonious proportions from all viewpoints while preserving ergonomic usability. Yellow symbolises the sun, joy, and vitality, reflecting the energetic character of Sodaflow.
